When I learned that we were going to have a trip to Vienna, Austria, the first thing that came to my mind was Vienna Sausage. I was excited to savor this Frankfurter Wurstel. However, there were a lot of choices to pick from when we got to this city. First, was the Schnitzel (deep fried breaded meat cooked the Vienna way), second, the Goulash (beef cooked in browned onions, yummy!). Those were on the first day of our stay in this beautiful place.
Yesterday, I was in Stephanplatz Square, in the centre of Vienna. I was talking to a young Viennese and she told me that Stephanplatz is where the tourists and the rich people gather and dine. While there were nice "alfresco" restaurants around offering fancy meals, I chose to have something which tourists like me would also like to savor. I took-out a Wurstel sandwich from a kiosk and sat by the square. People watching while savoring the flavorful cheesy Wurstel sandwich was the best that I did during my tour of the centre of Vienna yesterday.
